Channel 14 on Wednesday released footage it says shows MK Ofer Cassif (Hadash) attacking Border Police officers in Judea and Samaria, describing the video as 'disturbing'. The footage has not been independently verified.
On Tuesday evening, The Zioneer reported that an initial unverified allegation claimed Cassif assaulted a Border Police officer. Shortly afterward, at 21:17 Jerusalem, MK Boaron filed a formal complaint against Cassif after he was recorded confronting Border Police officers. Later that night, at 00:16 Wednesday, reports emerged that Cassif was struck during an altercation near the community of Carmel in the Mount Hebron region.
The Zioneer previously reported on the complaint and the Carmel incident. The newly released footage may be connected to the recording that prompted Boaron's complaint, but this has not been confirmed.
It remains unclear what exactly the footage depicts, and the circumstances of the initial confrontation and the Carmel altercation are still unverified. No independent confirmation has been provided.
