01 · THE DISPATCH

Channel 12 reported Monday afternoon that the death toll from an Israeli strike in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon has risen to four. The new figure comes after a series of reports Sunday evening that began with a Lebanese-source report of a strike between Tibnin and Nabatieh al-Fawqa at 17:43 Jerusalem, followed by IDF confirmation of a strike near the Ali al-Taher ridge, and later footage from the scene published by journalist Sapir Lipkin. The identities of the victims and the specific target have not been disclosed.

Sunday's thread unfolded rapidly: at 17:43 Jerusalem, a single Lebanese source reported an Israeli strike underway between Tibnin and Nabatieh al-Fawqa. Minutes later, at the same timestamp, Moriah Asraf and Doron Kadosh (N13 / Army Radio) reported an IDF strike near the Ali al-Taher ridge, confirming the operation. Sapir Lipkin then published footage from the aftermath in Nabatieh al-Fawqa. All three versions were published at 17:43 Jerusalem, indicating a concentrated sequence of reports within the same hour. The death toll evolved from zero reported casualties to the current figure of four, as relayed by Channel 12.

The Nabatieh area, a Hezbollah stronghold, has been repeatedly targeted in recent weeks. As The Zioneer reported on June 27, an IAF airstrike on Nabatieh al-Fawqa killed one and wounded two. On June 16, Lebanon's NNA reported four killed in separate strikes near Nabatieh. The broader pattern includes strikes on villages and main roads across the Nabatieh district, with the IDF rarely commenting on individual operations.

No official comment from the IDF has been issued regarding Monday's reported death toll. The source of the figure remains Channel 12's report, and no independent confirmation from Lebanese or international sources has been published.
