Lebanese sources reported additional Israeli fighter jet activity over southern Lebanon at 19:58 Monday evening, the latest in a series of aerial movements that began earlier in the night. The report came one minute after The Zioneer published footage of fighter jets releasing flares over the same area, and is the fourth report of such activity this evening.
The initial reports emerged at 19:40–19:41 Jerusalem, when security analyst Yair Goldblatt shared footage of an Israeli fighter jet releasing flares over southern Lebanon. At the same time, Lebanese sources reported that anti-aircraft missiles were launched in response. Additional footage later confirmed the flare releases, and by 19:57 The Zioneer had published its own footage. The new report at 19:58 suggests the activity is ongoing.
The aerial activity over southern Lebanon is part of a broader Israeli posture along the northern border, amid ongoing tensions with Hezbollah and Iran. As The Zioneer has reported, similar incidents have occurred regularly since June, including fighter jet movements, flare releases, and occasional strikes — for example, on June 25, Israeli warplanes entered southern Lebanon with heavy firing reported, and on July 26, jets were reported flying at very low altitude.
