Hamas's Internal Security Apparatus has reportedly executed Mustafa Mhanna, an officer in the Palestinian Authority's General Intelligence Service, accusing him of providing real-time intelligence to Israel that enabled the elimination of Izz al-Din al-Haddad, the commander of Hamas's military wing. The claim, from unnamed Gaza sources, is unverified.
Hamas's internal security apparatus has executed a man it identified as collaborator and PA intelligence officer Mustafa Mhanna, according to Palestinian sources cited Thursday morning by the Abu Ali Express channel — hours after the bulletin was published on a similar but sketchier claim Wednesday in which the executed person was identified only by initials.
The executed man is reportedly Mustafa Mhanna, an officer in the Palestinian Authority's General Intelligence Service who was a relative by marriage of Izz al-Din al-Haddad, the commander of Hamas's military wing whom Israel eliminated in a precise airstrike. Sources aligned with Hamas claim Mhanna tipped Israel off to al-Haddad's movements a minute before the strike, then confirmed al-Haddad's death at the hospital and relayed that information to Israel.
The same sources reportedly allege that Mhanna had been assisting Israel throughout the war and was responsible for the elimination of 37 senior Hamas operatives. The claims are unverified by independent sources. As The Zioneer reported Wednesday, Hamas initially announced the execution of a collaborator identified only by the initials 'M.M.' — the current naming of Mhanna appears to be a follow-up, providing a full name and PA affiliation.
The Palestinian Authority has not yet commented. The IDF has not confirmed the identity of the source of intelligence in the al-Haddad elimination.
