The Zioneer reports the elimination of Hamas terrorist Muhammad Hamdi al-Masri (Abu Jihad) and his son Jihad in a security operation at the Gaza City port on Tuesday evening. Al-Masri, a participant in the October 7 massacre, was targeted along with his son in the Israeli airstrike.
The operation was first reported at 18:24 Jerusalem as an unusual Israeli airstrike on the Gaza port, with ynet citing six killed and ten wounded. Shortly afterward, the IDF confirmed it had struck Hamas commanders in the Shati area, stating the strike preempted planned terror attacks against Israeli troops. Palestinian medical sources reported six killed. Within the same hour, the death toll rose to eight, and the Abu Ali Express channel, citing Gaza-based journalists, identified six of the dead, including senior Hamas commander Muhammad Hamdi al-Masri and his son. The Zioneer now reports the elimination based on its own sources.
Al-Masri was directly involved in the October 7 massacre. His elimination continues a series of Israeli counter-terror operations targeting senior Hamas operatives who participated in the attack and held Israeli hostages.
