Hezbollah published footage it says shows a fiber-optic 'Ababil' FPV drone striking an IDF D9 armored bulldozer near Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon on June 11. The claim, circulated by the group's media arm, is unverified and has not been corroborated or commented on by the IDF.
Hezbollah released new propaganda footage on Wednesday afternoon, claiming a fiber-optic 'Ababil' FPV drone struck an IDF D9 armored bulldozer near Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon on June 11. The video, aired by the Lebanese terror group's media arm, is the latest in a series of claimed strikes on Israeli armored vehicles in the area.
As The Zioneer has reported, this is the fourth such claimed drone strike footage released by Hezbollah since early June, following previous claims against an IDF Achzarit APC (June 13), a Merkava IV Barak tank (June 12), and a Merkava II tank (June 6). The IDF has not confirmed or commented on any of these claims, and the footage remains unverified by independent sources.
The Beaufort Castle area has been a focal point of operations, with the IDF previously releasing its own footage of weapons caches seized there and of airstrikes against Hezbollah operatives emerging from a tunnel in the same ridge. The IDF has not yet responded to this latest claim.
