At approximately 03:53 Jerusalem Sunday morning, the Houthi movement officially claimed responsibility for striking Aramco facilities in Saudi Arabia. The claim, reported by the group via the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen channel, followed a series of earlier reports of explosions and fires at Saudi oil infrastructure. Saudi authorities had earlier confirmed a fire at the Jazan refinery, which Aramco crews extinguished with no casualties reported.
The Zioneer reported at 03:53 Jerusalem that initial unverified reports of an explosion at a gas facility in Jubail emerged, followed by pro-Iranian sources claiming fire and explosions. The Saudi Energy Ministry then confirmed a fire at the Jazan refinery. Subsequently, the Houthis claimed responsibility for drone strikes, first on a gas facility, then on Aramco facilities in Jizan. The Saudi ministry later confirmed that the fire at the Jazan refinery was caused by a Houthi attack.

On July 27, Iraqi Shia militias joined Houthi strikes on the Abqaiq processing plant, causing heavy damage. On August 6, the group launched a large-scale ballistic missile operation against Saudi-backed targets. The Houthis, a primary Iranian proxy within the Axis of Resistance, have warned Saudi Arabia against further action.
