The IDF confirmed at 10:58 that troops killed the terrorist who had snatched the weapon and recovered the weapon; the military did not comment on the overall Palestinian casualty count.
According to journalist Nitzan Shapira, the IDF imposed a closure on the city of Nablus and the village of Tell as forces searched for additional suspects. The incident drew comparisons to a similar attack the previous day, in which a security officer was stabbed, as the assailants were able to physically close in on the responders before opening fire. Palestinian sources said the four dead included the gunman and three others, likely killed by security forces' fire.
