The operation follows stabbing attacks earlier Thursday in which two terrorists attacked an Israeli civilian near the settlement of Itamar, and another terrorist stabbed an IDF soldier in the Ganim area. All three attackers were killed by Israeli forces.

A subsequent IDF statement detailed that forces have entered the homes of the terrorists who carried out the attacks, searched multiple buildings, and interrogated suspects. The military said the civilian and the soldier were evacuated to a hospital, and the soldier's family was notified.
The IDF said it would continue to operate proactively and offensively to thwart terrorism and improve security for residents throughout Judea and Samaria. No further casualties or arrests have been reported as of this writing.
