The military said the depots contained Kalashnikov rifles, explosive devices, anti-tank launchers, and other equipment. Earlier, on July 29, the IDF struck a weapons depot that had been established inside a mosque, and on July 12, a Hamas weapons manufacturing site in Gaza City was dismantled.
The IDF has repeatedly targeted Hamas terror infrastructure embedded within civilian areas. As The Zioneer reported earlier on Saturday, Gaza sources reported that a medicine warehouse at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital was struck in a separate operation. The military has stated that Hamas systematically exploits civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, for terrorist purposes, using Palestinian civilians as human shields. The IDF has emphasized that steps are taken to mitigate civilian harm, including precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
The military did not provide casualty figures for the strike, nor did it specify the types of weapons stored in the five warehouses. No independent confirmation of the results was immediately available.
