01 · THE DISPATCH

The IDF said Wednesday evening that the Israeli Air Force struck a vehicle carrying two suspects who crossed the Security Zone in the Ali al-Taher Ridge area of southern Lebanon and posed a threat to military forces. The strike was carried out to remove the threat, according to the military statement, which added that the IDF would not allow Hezbollah to endanger Israeli civilians or forces and would continue to act against immediate threats.

This incident follows a similar strike the same evening, as The Zioneer reported at 19:44 Jerusalem, in which the IDF struck an armed vehicle that had crossed the Security Zone near the same ridge. While Hezbollah has claimed attacks on IDF forces in the area on past occasions, this latest incident is reported solely by the IDF. No Hezbollah confirmation or claim of responsibility has been published at this time. Casualty figures are not yet available.
