Lebanese sources report that two people were killed when an Israeli drone struck a vehicle near Nabatieh al-Fawqa, in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon. The strike hit near the Ali al-Taher ridge, in the Kafr Rumman area, according to initial reports.
Lebanese state media and a single-source report carried by the Abu Ali Express channel indicate that an Israeli UAV struck a vehicle near Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon on Wednesday afternoon, killing two people. The strike occurred in the Kafr Rumman area, near the Ali al-Taher ridge in the Nabatieh district. The affiliation of those killed and the target's identity have not yet been reported. No official confirmation from the IDF or Lebanese authorities has been released.
The development updates a thread The Zioneer has tracked since 12:26 Jerusalem, when initial reports — of a drone striking a pickup truck in Baraashit, leaving one person seriously wounded — were followed minutes later by Lebanon's National News Agency reporting a drone strike near the village of Rumman. By 16:43 Jerusalem, hours later, the casualty count was revised to two killed, with the location pinned to the Kafr Rumman area in Nabatieh al-Fawqa.
The Nabatieh area has been a recurring focus of Israeli strikes, as The Zioneer reported on June 18 (three killed in an artillery strike on Nabatieh al-Fawqa), June 20 (a Lebanese army soldier killed in a UAV strike on a motorcycle near Nabatieh), and June 23 (two killed in a strike on Nabatieh al-Fawqa after a three-day lull). The current incident appears to be the latest in that sequence.
It remains unclear whether the two killed are military-affiliated or civilians, and whether the vehicle was the intended target. The initial version of this thread — the Baraashit report — was not independently corroborated and has now been subsumed by the state-media update. The Kafr Rumman strike itself relies on a single Lebanese source and has not been confirmed by additional newsrooms or on-the-ground accounts.
