Starting Monday, June 22 at 06:00, the IDF will lift all remaining civil-defense restrictions on northern frontline communities, including Sfasufa, Meron, and others, moving them to full activity status, the military says. The nationwide 'green' routine status will then apply everywhere, ending the last partial-activity zone.
The IDF spokesperson announced Sunday evening that, effective Monday, June 22, 2026, at 06:00, all civil-defense restrictions on the front-line zone (Kav Ha'Omed) and eight specific northern communities will be lifted. Those communities — Sfasufa, Meron, Or HaGanuz, Bar Yochai, Yesod HaMa'ala, Kisra-Sumei, Beit Jann, and Sde Eliezer — will transition from a partial-activity footing to full unrestricted activity.
The step completes a gradual easing of Home Front Command restrictions that began last week. Earlier Sunday, as The Zioneer reported, the IDF announced that the nationwide 5,000-person gathering cap was being removed and that the green (routine) status would apply nationwide except for the frontline. With Monday's change, the last special restrictions on the northern border will be removed, enabling a full return to routine in those communities after weeks of heightened civil-defense measures.
The timing — Monday morning at 06:00 — is set to allow for a measured transition. The IDF emphasized that any further changes to the defense policy will be communicated via the official Home Front Command and IDF spokesperson channels.
