Iran claimed responsibility for attacks on five Gulf states — Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Oman — and said it also struck the United Arab Emirates without claiming responsibility, according to reports. Saudi Arabia was not targeted. Footage from Bahrain purports to show the attacks.

01 · THE DISPATCH

Iran has officially claimed responsibility for the ongoing wave of strikes against five Gulf states — Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Oman — and said it also struck the United Arab Emirates, without claiming responsibility for that attack, according to Iranian state-linked sources. The claim, reported at 08:43 Jerusalem, follows over an hour of continuous strikes first reported by The Zioneer.

The Zioneer's initial report at 07:43 Jerusalem recorded unverified missile strikes toward Bahrain, Kuwait, and the UAE. Within the same minute, a second wave was reported against Bahrain and Kuwait, and targets were expanded to include Jordan, Oman, and the UAE (version 3, 07:43 Jerusalem). By 07:59, Iranian sources provided specific claims of strikes on Al Udeid base in Qatar, targets in Kuwait, and Bahrain. The current update moves from unverified reports to an official Iranian tally, though the claims remain unconfirmed by independent sources or the targeted states.

This escalation is part of a broader pattern. As The Zioneer reported on June 10, Iran struck US installations in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar in retaliation for US airstrikes. On July 9, the Iranian military and IRGC claimed attacks on US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Qatar. Qatar has condemned Iran's repeated attacks on Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, as reported on July 9.

The extent of damage and casualties remains unclear. Footage from Bahrain purporting to show the strikes is unverified. Iran's claim of responsibility for the UAE strike is notably absent, leaving the status of that attack ambiguous.
