Primary source Internal intake · 4 reviewed intake signals · Desk window 08:30

TL;DR

Iran has been attacking Gulf states continuously for over an hour, with heavy fire directed at Qatar, while Kuwait and Bahrain confirm they are under attack, according to reports. Jordan, the UAE, and Oman are also reportedly targeted. The scale and extent of damage are not yet clear.

01 · THE DISPATCH

Iran has expanded its attacks to include Jordan, the UAE, and Oman, with heavy fire directed at Qatar, according to unverified reports. The new wave, which began around 08:29 Jerusalem time, marks a significant broadening of the assault that has unfolded over the past hour. Kuwait and Bahrain have confirmed they are under attack, while Qatar is also reporting heavy fire.

This morning's escalation began at 07:43 Jerusalem, when reports emerged of Iranian missiles toward Bahrain and strikes on Kuwait and the UAE. Minutes later, a second wave targeted Bahrain and Kuwait again. At 07:59, Iran claimed to have struck the Al Udeid base in Qatar, as The Zioneer reported. By 08:05, a fresh attack on Bahrain and Kuwait was reported, and at 08:10, Iran struck US installations in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar. The current wave at 08:29 adds Jordan, the UAE, and Oman to the list of targeted states.

These attacks follow a broader context of retaliation. The Zioneer reported earlier this week that Gulf states launched a combined strike on Iran from Kuwait and Bahrain on Thursday, and that Iran retaliated for US airstrikes on June 10. Qatar has also condemned Iran's repeated attacks on Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait. The current escalation appears to be the largest in scope so far.

No official confirmation from the affected governments has been released, and casualty figures remain unknown. The Iranian government has not commented on the reports. The scale and exact nature of the damage are still unclear.
