The Zioneer first reported the overnight strike on Mount Drak on Monday at 23:20 Jerusalem, and later reported that the strike targeted a 'Najm' type radar system, according to Iranian sources cited by Goldblatt. A large fire was reported on the mountain at the same time Monday night. Earlier this evening (Tue 20:42 Jerusalem), The Zioneer reported a new large fire on Mount Derak.
The mountain is known to house sensitive military infrastructure, including electronic warfare towers, as noted in previous reporting. The strike is part of the tenth consecutive night of US operations against Iranian military targets.
It remains unclear whether the fire is ongoing or has been contained, and no official confirmation from Iranian authorities has been released regarding the footage or the link to the strike.
