01 · THE DISPATCH

At 22:44 Jerusalem Wednesday, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed it had begun additional precision strikes across Iran targeting military capabilities threatening navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Minutes later, a US official confirmed ongoing strikes, and local reports described explosions in Sirik, Abu Musa Island, and Jask. By 22:44, Iranian state television itself reported several explosions in Jask.

Now, at 01:12 Jerusalem Thursday, Iranian state television is reporting a more extensive wave of explosions. According to the network's correspondent, at least eight explosions were heard in eastern Bandar Abbas, two missiles struck Boumusi Island, and two more hit Sirik Island, with two additional explosions in Jask. This raises the reported scale of events beyond the earlier Jask-only account.

The Zioneer has tracked a weeks-long pattern of unexplained explosions in southern Iran. As reported on June 22, unverified reports described blasts on Qeshm Island and near Bandar Abbas. On June 24, reports of explosions in Bandar Abbas for the second time that night were noted. The new report from state television occurs within the context of confirmed U.S. military operations: CENTCOM stated the strikes are intended to degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, and President Trump indicated the U.S. would likely strike again.

The latest report remains unconfirmed by independent sources. No official Iranian government confirmation has been issued, and no group has claimed responsibility. The specific targets and extent of damage remain unclear. The Zioneer will continue to monitor.
