Israel targeted Ali Ahmed Al-Amoudi over the weekend, The Zioneer Intelligence Desk reports. The military describes Al-Amoudi as Sinwar's former right-hand man, allegedly involved in October 7 planning, and now considered Hamas's most senior figure in Gaza.
The IDF has confirmed it targeted Ali Ahmed Al-Amoudi over the weekend, describing him as the most senior Hamas figure remaining in the Gaza Strip. Al-Amoudi served as Yahya Sinwar's right-hand man and was allegedly involved in the strategic planning of the October 7, 2023, massacre. The operation occurred on Saturday morning, but his fate remains unconfirmed.
Initial reports at 11:34 Saturday from security sources indicated uncertainty over whether Sinwar's successor had been eliminated. The Zioneer first reported at 19:20 that the IDF had attempted to eliminate the deputy head of Hamas's political bureau. By 19:33 the target was identified as Ali al-Amoudi, and at 19:47 the desk reported that five people had been killed in the strike, including four women, while al-Amoudi was not among the identified casualties. At 21:01, Channel 14 military correspondent Noam Amir reported that visual evidence from the strike site showed signs of a targeted elimination, but that the outcome remained unclear.
Al-Amoudi rose to prominence following the elimination of Yahya Sinwar, and is described by Israeli security services as the architect of Hamas's strategic deception campaign that preceded the current war, as The Zioneer reported on Saturday in earlier bulletins (published at 12:05 and 09:41).
It remains unclear whether al-Amoudi was killed or survived the strike. Neither Israeli nor Hamas sources have provided definitive confirmation of his fate.
