A single Lebanese report signals that Israeli forces may have entered the village of Tebnit (Kafr Tibnit), just below the strategic Ali al-Taher ridge overlooking Nabatieh. The report, which cites a circulating video of IDF armored vehicles between al-Khardali and Tebnit, has not been independently confirmed by the IDF.
A single-source report from Lebanese outlet Al-Jadeed, relayed by the security-news channel Abu Ali Express on Monday morning (10:45 Jerusalem), suggests that IDF forces have advanced into the village of Tebnit (Kafr Tibnit) in southern Lebanon. The account cites a video circulating on social media that shows IDF armored vehicles on the road between al-Khardali and Tebnit — implying that troops are already inside the village.
Tebnit sits at the foot of the Ali al-Taher ridge, an elevated position that commands direct line-of-sight over Nabatieh, one of the largest cities in southern Lebanon. The ridge has been a stated objective of IDF ground operations since early June. As The Zioneer previously reported (June 7), Lebanese sources described an IDF push toward the ridge from the villages of Mifdun and Tebnit, though those reports remained unconfirmed at the time.
Subsequent reporting (June 8–9) indicated IDF advances into new sectors south of the Litani River, including clashes with Hezbollah operatives near Ghendourieh. The current report is consistent with those patterns but adds the detail that Tebnit itself may now be under IDF control — a key step toward command of the Nabatieh approach. No official IDF statement has been issued, and the report remains single-source. The credibility of the circulating video has not been independently verified.
