As The Zioneer reported earlier today at 17:56 Jerusalem, three explosive devices were first found on Thursday near the same station, ready for activation. Train traffic was halted and a sapper detonated those devices. Police at the time suspected a criminal motive. The latest police operation uncovered additional weapons, including the stolen IDF ammunition, and led to the neutralization of the bombs.
The Ramla area has been the scene of other criminal incidents in recent weeks, including the arrest of a Palestinian worker on suspicion of gang rape, as The Zioneer reported on June 28. Police have described the current incident as a criminal attack, and the investigation is ongoing.
No arrests have been announced in connection with this discovery. Police have not disclosed whether the latest find is linked to the devices found on Thursday.
