Unit 636 kills two militants after Molotov attack on Karmei Tzur; third neutralized

The IDF reported Sunday night that Unit 636 operatives eliminated two militants who had ignited tires and thrown Molotov cocktails toward the community of Karmei Tzur in the Etzion Brigade area, and neutralized a third militant during the pursuit of the cell. Fire crews from the Judea and Samaria district are extinguishing a brush fire sparked by the burning tires. No Israeli casualties were reported.

As The Zioneer reported earlier this evening (23:05), an ambush by the same unit was underway and resulted in the elimination of two attackers; Sunday night's bulletin identified the incident as a Molotov attack. The first version of this thread, published at 22:50 Jerusalem, cited a security source confirming the two militants had been killed. The latest IDF statement adds that a third attacker was also neutralized and that sweeps for additional suspects continue.

Earlier on Sunday evening, The Zioneer reported that four suspects attempted to set fire to Karmei Tzur, though it remains unclear if that incident is directly linked to tonight's Molotov attack. The military said it will continue offensive and defensive operations in the area to protect residents.

It is not yet confirmed whether any other members of the cell are at large or if the neutralized third militant was captured or killed. Sweeps are ongoing.
