Abd al-Fattah Abu al-Aish
Abd al-Fattah Abu al-Aish was a commander in Hamas's elite Nukhba Force who participated in the October 7, 2023, massacre. He was eliminated by the IDF in August 2026 during a precision strike in Jabaliya.
Abd al-Fattah Abu al-Aish was a tactical commander within the Nukhba Force, the elite commando unit of the Hamas terror organization. His significance to Israeli security forces stems from his direct involvement in the October 7, 2023, massacre, during which he was among the terrorists who infiltrated sovereign Israeli territory to carry out mass killings and abductions. Following the outbreak of the war, Abu al-Aish remained an active operative within the northern Gaza Strip, specifically in the Jabaliya area. According to Israeli military intelligence, he continued to play a role in the operational command of Hamas's remaining forces, focusing on the reconstitution of military capabilities and the planning of immediate terror plots against IDF troops and Israeli civilians. On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the IDF conducted a precision strike in Jabaliya that eliminated Abu al-Aish alongside another operative, Raid Adel Muhammad Alyan. The elimination of such commanders is part of a broader Israeli strategy to dismantle the Nukhba Force's leadership structure and prevent the group from regaining a foothold in northern Gaza. His death represents the closing of a circle for the victims of the October 7 attacks and a tactical degradation of Hamas's command layer in the Jabaliya sector.
