Sgt. Maj. (res.) Nadav Kali (24) was an IDF reserve soldier from Har Halutz who fell in combat in the Gaza Strip in September 2026 while serving with the 7007th Battalion.
Sgt. Maj. (res.) Nadav Kali was a dedicated reserve soldier in the Israel Defense Forces who gave his life during the ongoing security operations in the Gaza Strip. A resident of Har Halutz in northern Israel, Kali served in the 7007th Battalion of the 16th Reserve Division (the Jerusalem Brigade). On Friday, September 25, 2026, the IDF cleared for publication that Kali, aged 24, was killed in action during operational activity in Gaza. He fell alongside his comrade, Sgt. Maj. (res.) Ofek Moalem.
Kali’s service in the 7007th Battalion underscores the critical role of the reserve forces in Israel's national defense strategy. The 16th Division, traditionally associated with the defense of Jerusalem, has been heavily involved in high-intensity combat and clearing operations aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure. His sacrifice is a testament to the resilience of Israel's reserve families and the commitment of young citizens to the sovereignty and security of the state. As a member of the Har Halutz community, his loss is felt deeply within the Galilee region and across the nation, marking another somber chapter in the defense of the Jewish homeland against adversarial terror factions.
