The Peki'in local council announced this morning that the funeral of Master Sergeant (Res.) Basil Sweid will take place at 17:00 today in the Druze town. Sweid, 32, of the 75th Battalion, 7th Armored Brigade, fell during operational activity in southern Lebanon. The IDF cleared his name for publication at 09:09 this morning, following prior reports by The Zioneer. The council's statement highlighted Sweid's "good character and good name" in the community.
