01 · THE DISPATCH

The Israeli Air Force intercepted a UAV early this morning in southern Lebanon, in an area where Israeli forces are operating, the military said. Rocket and missile alerts were activated due to the interception attempts, the IDF confirmed.

This latest interception continues a pattern of activity over recent days in which the IDF has intercepted or tracked aerial targets in southern Lebanon near areas of Israeli operations. A similar interception occurred at 05:00 Jerusalem on June 11, when the IAF intercepted a UAV after an infiltration alert in Metula. Another incident on June 10 saw the interception of a suspicious aerial target after alerts in Shlomi.

The alert system was activated according to policy due to the interceptor launches, rather than launches from Lebanon toward Israeli territory. No reports of casualties or damage have emerged from the incident.

The area of operation in southern Lebanon, south of the Litani River, remains active as the IDF continues limited ground operations against Hezbollah infrastructure.
