The IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA) said they eliminated terrorist and arms dealer Mohammed Zayed during a joint counterterrorism operation in the Yamun area of Judea and Samaria on Wednesday. Zayed supplied weapons to the perpetrator of a 2025 shooting attack that seriously wounded two IDF soldiers. He was killed during an attempted arrest when he fled and posed a threat to the forces.
The IDF and Shin Bet announced Wednesday evening the elimination of Mohammed Zayed, a wanted arms dealer who had evaded arrest for some time in the village of Yamun, in the Menashe Brigade sector of Judea and Samaria.
According to the joint statement, Zayed supplied weapons to the terrorist who carried out a shooting attack in 2025, in which two IDF soldiers were seriously wounded. In the days before the operation, Zayed was assessed to be hiding in several houses and to have access to weapons. When forces attempted to arrest him, he tried to flee and posed a threat, and was eliminated on the spot.
As The Zioneer reported earlier (Wednesday, 18:48 Jerusalem time), the operation was conducted by IDF Duvdevan special forces alongside ISA personnel. The IDF and ISA said they will continue operating against arms dealers and terrorists throughout Judea and Samaria.
