The IDF confirmed on Friday the completion of a 48-hour brigade-level counter-terror operation in the Nablus area of the Samaria Brigade, destroying more than 30 weapon-manufacturing lathes and arresting over 10 wanted individuals. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the operation earlier Friday, calling it successful and vowing that counter-terror activities continue "in full force" in Judea and Samaria, Gaza, Lebanon, and wherever enemies threaten Israel, as The Zioneer reported at 09:29 Jerusalem. The operation is the latest in an ongoing IDF campaign against weapon-production infrastructure in Samaria. As The Zioneer reported on Tue Jun 16, Yahalom special engineering troops destroyed 18 weapon lathes in the Balata camp and Ras al-Ein area; on Tue Aug 4, soldiers destroyed 10 lathes in Qabatiya. The current operation appears to be the largest in scale, covering a broader area and involving a full brigade.
No Israeli casualties were reported in the operation. The military said it will continue proactive operations in the Judea and Samaria Division to protect residents and Israeli civilians.
