The Zioneer first reported at 12:21 Jerusalem that troops from the 7th Brigade found two paintings of Adolf Hitler in the village of Al-Taybeh, in a school portfolio the IDF described as operating under Hezbollah. Shortly after, Waweya officially confirmed the discovery. The current update adds that the drawings bear the signature of Hassan Haidar and are likely part of a more extensive collection.
Waweya, known as 'Captain Ella,' is the highest-ranking Arab Muslim officer in the IDF, as The Zioneer reported on Sunday, July 26. Her comments on the drawings serve as evidence of Nazi ideology within Hezbollah, according to the military.
The number of drawings in the portfolio and the full identity of the artist remain under investigation.
