TL;DR

The IDF said sirens in the Finger of the Galilee (Eastern Upper Galilee) were triggered by a suspicious aerial target that fell in an area where Israeli forces were operating. The military reported no injuries and declared the incident over. Sirens that sounded in Eilat were determined to be a false identification.

01 · THE DISPATCH

The IDF confirmed at 06:29 Jerusalem that a suspicious aerial target fell in the Finger of the Galilee (Eastern Upper Galilee) after sirens sounded in the area. The military stated the target landed in an area where its forces were operating, and that no injuries were reported. The incident has been declared over.

This development follows an earlier bulletin at 03:02 Jerusalem, when The Zioneer first reported sirens in the Finger of the Galilee over a suspected hostile aircraft infiltration. At 03:30 Jerusalem, the IDF reported a similar incident in which a suspicious aerial target fell in southern Lebanon, also without casualties. The military's confirmation at 06:29 represents the first official account of a target falling inside Israeli territory in the thread.

Separately and concurrently, sirens that activated in Eilat were determined by the IDF to be a false identification — as The Zioneer reported at 03:37 Jerusalem. The Eilat alert was classified as a false identification, matching a pattern seen in prior incidents: The Zioneer noted on Jun 11 that earlier sirens in Misgav Am were triggered by a suspected drone infiltration, and on Jun 12 that false alarm sirens in Metula were also determined to be a false identification.

No hostile elements have been confirmed involved in the northern incident according to the IDF's initial assessment. Details remain under review.
