Lebanese sources told Abu Ali Express that the Ghandour Hospital in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, struck by the IDF on Sunday morning, was empty of medical personnel and patients at the time. The only person killed inside was Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Ghaddar, also known as Abu al-Fadhl Ninwa, from the village of Ghazieh in the Sidon district.

The reporting on the strike evolved rapidly through the morning. As The Zioneer reported at 07:34 Jerusalem, Israeli security sources confirmed the targeted former hospital was vacant and served as a Hezbollah command post. By 07:56 Jerusalem, The Zioneer published a detailed background piece describing the Nabatieh al-Fawqa area as a critical Hezbollah military node and the Ali al-Taher ridge as a site of major tunnel infrastructure. The IDF confirmed that the strike targeted a Hezbollah command center operating from the former hospital, in response to a Hezbollah drone attack on Israeli troops near the Ali Taher Ridge.
The Ghandour Hospital was previously described by the IDF as a Hezbollah command post embedded in a civilian medical structure. As The Zioneer reported on July 30, the area near the facility had been struck previously.
The identification of Ghaddar as the fatality has not been independently confirmed by official Israeli sources. The report of his rank and role within Hezbollah, as well as the absence of civilian casualties, currently rests on Lebanese source accounts.
