The attack unfolded around 09:00 when Palestinian assailants snatched a security officer's weapon and opened fire on Israeli hikers near Havat Gilad. At 09:25 Jerusalem, Magen David Adom confirmed one victim dead at the scene, as The Zioneer reported. By 09:49, a closure had been imposed on Nablus and the wounded count had risen to three. At 10:00, The Zioneer reported one Israeli killed and two wounded, one critically, evacuated by helicopter. The Zioneer also reported at 10:03 that the critically wounded victim was in critical condition and a curfew had been placed on Nablus and Tel.
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported four Palestinians killed and three wounded in the incident, noting they are likely the eliminated terrorists, as The Zioneer reported in its consolidated account. The IDF has imposed a closure on Nablus and Tel and continues the manhunt.
