The brother is incarcerated at the same prison where the officer serves. The manhunt for Sasson, the main suspect in the July murder of Beniahu Razi, continues.
The investigation into the murder has seen a series of arrests in recent weeks. As The Zioneer reported on July 23, police arrested the suspect's mother and his 15-year-old sister in a pressure tactic to force Sasson to surrender. On July 22, a relative of the suspect was arrested. Earlier, on July 15, a policewoman was suspected of obstructing the investigation. The main suspect, Avior Sasson, remains at large since the murder in July.
The murder of Beniahu Razi, 19, occurred in a Jerusalem Airbnb in July. As The Zioneer reported on July 17, Agam Tsarfi, 19, an active-duty IDF soldier, is suspected of ordering the murder. She and Razi had a toxic relationship, according to reports. The case has seen multiple arrests, with the officer's arrest marking the latest escalation.
The manhunt for Avior Sasson continues. The extent of the officer's involvement and the exact circumstances of the alleged escape assistance remain under investigation. The officer's identity has not been officially released.
