01 · THE DISPATCH

Iranian media reported a second series of explosions near the port city of Sirik, on the Strait of Hormuz, and additional blasts in Bandar Abbas, shortly after 01:00 a.m. Jerusalem time, according to reports cited by The Zioneer. Local sources noted the explosions in Sirik 'may be related to activity in the Strait of Hormuz,' while the cause of the blast in Bandar Abbas remained unknown. The new reports follow The Zioneer's initial coverage of a blast in Bandar Abbas at 00:58, which was matched as part of the same thread.

The Zioneer's thread on the Strait of Hormuz explosions began with a first bulletin at 11:21 (June 10), reporting explosions in the area. At the same time, Iran's state broadcaster IRIB cited informed sources linking the explosions to Iran's closure of the waterway, followed by a second IRIB report attributing the blasts to the IRGC Navy enforcing a blockade. Around the same minute, Mehr News Agency reported repeated explosions heard from the Strait. Within that minute, Tasnim news agency cited a source in Hormozgan Governorate denying projectile impacts and attributing the sounds off Sirik to routine Strait activity. The thread shows initial unverified claims of explosions and closure evolving into an official denial of hostilities, with multiple newsrooms reporting conflicting versions within a single minute of coverage.

As The Zioneer reported separately, the wider southern Iran region has seen a wave of blasts over recent days, including a confirmed explosion near Abyek west of Tehran (reported June 11, 03:25), and explosions on Qeshm Island and at Kangan port attributed by Israeli-language reports to air defense activity and strikes on military targets. A second explosion near Sirik was also reported earlier on June 11 at 15:41. These context items have not been officially confirmed by Iranian state media and remain unverified.

No casualties, damage, or official explanation have been reported by Iranian state media at this stage. The reported sounds off Sirik remain attributed by Tasnim to routine activity, but no independent confirmation of the nature of the blasts in Bandar Abbas or the Strait has emerged.
