IDF Weekly Ops: 1+ km of Gaza Tunnels Destroyed, 60 Terror Suspects Arrested in Judea and Samaria

The Israeli military's operational summary for the past week reflects a sustained effort to dismantle terror infrastructure and neutralize immediate threats across three primary sectors: Gaza, Lebanon, and the Central Command.

Gaza Strip Operations

In the Southern Command, IDF forces focused on the underground network that remains a core component of Hamas's defensive and offensive capabilities. Engineering units dismantled tunnels with a combined length exceeding one kilometer, with a primary focus on the Khan Yunis area. Beyond infrastructure, the military confirmed the elimination of approximately 20 terrorists. This group included individuals identified as being involved in rebuilding Hamas's military infrastructure and others who participated in the October 7 massacre. The IDF stated that these operations are part of an ongoing effort to locate and dismantle additional subterranean routes.

Northern Front and Lebanon

In the Northern Command, the IDF continued operations within the Security Zone to mitigate threats to Israeli territory. A notable achievement this week was the dismantling of an underground terror tunnel located in the Lebanese village of Majdal Zoun. Additionally, following what the military described as Hezbollah violations of the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli Air Force conducted four precise strikes against terrorists posing immediate threats. These strikes also targeted three Hezbollah command centers, signaling a policy of immediate response to tactical breaches.

Judea and Samaria Security

In the Central Command, the IDF conducted dozens of operations throughout Judea and Samaria, resulting in the apprehension of over 60 terror suspects. The detainees include individuals affiliated with Hamas, those planning imminent attacks, and suspects involved in weapons trafficking. During these raids, security forces confiscated approximately 162,000 NIS in terror funds, five UAVs, materials for manufacturing explosive devices, and various firearms, including M-16 rifles and pistols. The military also noted ongoing efforts to thwart smuggling attempts and strengthen defenses along the eastern and western borders.
