The update came minutes after Blot renewed the order at 11:05, directly contradicting Defense Minister Israel Katz's request to release Dardik from administrative detention. The earlier renewal barred Dardik from most of Judea and Samaria, while the updated version applies the ban to the entire region.
The development caps a rapid sequence of events this morning. At 10:58, initial reports from ynet, Channel 12, and N13/Army Radio indicated that the suspect at the center of the Katz-Blot confrontation had been released from house arrest and ordered removed from Judea and Samaria. A military court subsequently issued a formal removal order. Blot then responded by renewing the administrative restriction order against Dardik by name, and shortly thereafter expanded it to cover all of Judea and Samaria.
The case has been a focal point of friction between the Ministry of Defense and the military command. As The Zioneer reported on Sunday, the Jerusalem District Court ruled on the detention order, finding it justified but unenforceable, and ordered a 48-hour stay. The dispute has drawn attention to the use of administrative restrictions against Israeli residents of Judea and Samaria. It remains unclear whether Defense Minister Katz will respond to the expanded restriction.
