The Zioneer first reported the operation on Saturday evening at 19:51 Jerusalem, identifying both operatives. By Sunday morning, the IDF released additional operational details, stating that both men had been working to restore Hamas's military capacity and were engaged in planning imminent attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.
The elimination of Abu al-Aish and Aliyan follows a series of similar targeted strikes against Nukhba commanders involved in the October 7 massacre. On June 7, the IDF and ISA eliminated Sakr Abu Karim, a Nukhba commander who led the Kisufim infiltration. These operations are part of an ongoing Israeli campaign to degrade Hamas's command structure and prevent the rebuilding of its terror infrastructure.
No civilian casualties have been reported from the strike, and it remains unclear whether any additional operatives were targeted.
