This morning, a terrorist armed with a knife stabbed an Israeli civilian at a farm near Usarin in Samaria and fled the scene. Large IDF forces initiated searches and set up roadblocks. The assailant was located near his vehicle in the Idhna area and attempted to stab the soldiers; a company commander from Battalion 411 opened fire and killed him.
The victim, Netanel Yaakov, was evacuated to hospital with wounds to the head, neck, and hand. In a televised account, he described fighting the terrorist: “He waited for me, started stabbing. I fought him, punched and pushed him, we fell to the ground. The knife broke, he kept trying to stab me. I choked him until he fled.” Yaakov’s family said his condition is stable.
The terrorist was identified by Palestinian sources and Israeli media as Muhammad Faiz, from the village of Kublan near Qablan. Earlier today, Defense Minister Israel Katz directed the IDF to prepare for a full-scale operation against the Palestinian Authority, citing the attack as a catalyst for harsher action in Judea and Samaria, as The Zioneer reported at 14:56.
