Ezra, 27, a battery commander in the 411th Battalion, and disclosed that the assailant had seized an assault rifle from a civilian security officer before opening fire (published 15:51 Jerusalem).

Additional reports at the same time confirmed the seizure of the rifle and the terrorist's method. The IDF later eliminated four terrorists involved in the attack.
The attack occurred near the settlement of Havat Gilad.
