Habshoosh was an armor soldier in the 52nd Battalion of the 401st Armored Brigade ("Iron Tracks"). He fell in combat in southern Lebanon and was the fourth soldier killed in the tank incident that also claimed the lives of Lt.-Col. Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon, Staff Sgt. Yoav Klein, and Staff Sgt.
