The IDF cleared for publication Sunday morning the names of all four soldiers killed in a single tank incident in southern Lebanon, completing the identification of the fallen: Staff Sgt. Yoav Klein, Staff Sgt. Nave Habshoosh, Staff Sgt. Liav Kavavia, and Staff Sgt. Nir Ben Ari.
As The Zioneer reported over the weekend, the incident occurred as part of heavy ground operations against Hezbollah. On Saturday night, the names of Klein and Nir Ben Ari were cleared in separate announcements, alongside Lt. Col. Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon, the 52nd Battalion commander. By early Sunday (07:49 Jerusalem), the IDF had released a full list of five fallen — adding Habshoosh and Kavavia — and later confirmed that Ben Ari, initially listed separately, was part of the same tank event. The clearance of all four names now resolves what had been a partial identification process over more than 48 hours.
Funerals for Klein and Habshoosh were held Sunday at 11:00 in Herzliya and 18:00 at Mount Herzl, respectively, as previously reported by The Zioneer. The IDF has not released additional operational details about the incident. The families of the fallen have been notified, and funeral arrangements for Kavavia and Ben Ari are underway.
